This Privacy Policy contains important information we are required to disclose by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), including (i) the Controller of your personal information, (ii) how we collect and process your personal information through the ZeroDegrees Platform, (iii) your legal rights and (iv) the contact information of the Controller and the Data Protection Officer.
Where this Policy mentions “ZeroDegrees,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to ZeroDegrees of Separation Health, Unipessoal Lda (the “Controller”). Undefined terms in this Privacy Policy have the same definition as in our Terms of Service (“Terms”).
ZeroDegrees of Separation Health, Unipessoal Ltd. is the Controller of personal information collected and processed through the ZeroDegrees Platform at https://zerodegrees.health. To contact the Controller, see Section 9 of this policy.

The retention period is determined by criteria that include (i) the length of time you have an account with us or keep using the ZeroDegrees Platform, (ii) whether we are subject to a legal obligation to retain your personal information, for example, to keep records of your transactions (such as orders, bookings, subscriptions, refunds) for a certain period of time before we can delete them, and/or (iii) whether retention is advisable with regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations.
Where you provide consent, we share your information as described at the time of consent, such as when authorizing a third-party application or website to access your ZeroDegrees account or when participating in promotional activities by ZeroDegrees or third parties.
Where permissible under applicable law, we may use certain information about you such as your email address and share it with social media platforms to generate leads, drive traffic to the ZeroDegrees platform, or otherwise promote our products and services.
Certain information you choose to share on the ZeroDegrees platform may be publicly visible to others, such as:

We may display parts of your listings, articles or recipes on third-party sites, platforms, and apps to promote your services and drive traffic to your publications. Please note that information you share publicly on the ZeroDegrees Platform may be indexed through third-party search engines.
Certain profile information as well as certain aggregated demand and feedback information is automatically published on the ZeroDegrees platform and is publicly visible to others, such as:
We may need to share your information in order to facilitate interactions between Members. For example, when a Customer makes a booking or submits a refund request, certain information, including your profile page URL, name, profile picture, phone number, cancellation or refund history and other information you choose to submit, may be shared with the Service Provider.
Where legally required or permissible according to applicable law, we may disclose Members’ information to law enforcement, tax authorities, governmental or public authorities, or authorized third parties. For example, we may disclose Members’ information to tax authorities for determination of proper compliance with tax obligations such as service providers’ individual tax obligations on bookings we facilitate through our platform and our own tax obligations on the respective fees we charge for providing that booking service.
Information about service providers and customers that may be disclosed is described in Sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 above, and may include names, billing addresses, tax/business identification number(s), date of birth, contact information, transaction dates and amounts, gross and net booking amounts, and payout information, to the extent any of this information is known by ZeroDegrees.
We may notify Members about legal requests, except where such notification (i) is prohibited by applicable law or by court order we receive, (ii) may expose ZeroDegrees to a claim of obstruction of justice, (iii) may create a risk of injury or bodily harm to an individual or group, or (iv) may create or increase a risk of fraud upon or harm to ZeroDegrees or our Members.
We share personal information with third-parties which are not owned or controlled by ZeroDegrees. These third-parties help us deliver our services, including: (i) verifying your identity or authenticating your identification documents, (ii) checking information against public databases, (iii) conducting background or criminal record checks, (iv) preventing fraud and assessing risk, (v) developing, maintaining and debugging our products, (vi) allowing the provision of our services through third-party platforms and software tools (e.g. through the integration with our APIs), or (vii) providing customer service, advertising, or payment processing services.
Use of the services provided by these third-parties is subject to their respective privacy policies, such as Google Maps/Earth, Google Privacy Policy, Google Calendar, Facebook, Stripe Privacy Policy, Google Analytics, Gravatar.
If ZeroDegrees undertakes or is involved in any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event, then we may sell, transfer, or share some or all of our assets, including your information in connection with or in contemplation of such transaction (e.g., due diligence). In this event, we will notify you before your personal information is transferred and therefore becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
You can exercise any of the rights described in this section consistent with applicable law. We may ask you to verify your identity before taking further action on your request.
You are responsible for keeping your personal information up to date and you can review and update it through your Account settings. You have the right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information which you cannot update yourself within your ZeroDegrees account. To do so, please contact our Data Protection Officer by clicking here. If you connected your ZeroDegrees Account to a third-party service, like Facebook or Google, you can unlink from that service by going to your Account Settings and selecting Connected Accounts.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
To request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, please go to your Account Settings and select Privacy, then click on Request Data Export. We will process your request and send you an email when the file containing your personal information is ready for downloading. You can download it straight from the email or by logging in to your Account Settings, selecting Privacy and then clicking on the Download Personal Data button. Please note that for privacy and security reasons, this file will be automatically deleted 48 hours after your data export request was completed and you will need to submit a new request to export your personal data.
You have the right to request us to transmit the personal information we hold about you to another service provider, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, where this is technically feasible. To do so, please contact our Data Protection Officer by clicking here.
You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information. Erasing your data will delete all of the content associated with it, including your listings, media and Zedos points. It will be completely irrecoverable.
Please note that the erasure of your personal information, as well as the termination or voluntary deletion of your account (as outlined in section 6.5 below) is subject to certain limitations and restrictions:
To request the erasure of your personal data, please go to your Account Settings and select Privacy, then click on Request Data Erasure. We will process your request and send you an email when your personal information has been erased.
You have the right to delete your account. Deleting your account will result in the deletion of all the content it has created as well as your personal information (except for certain information that we may retain, as outlined in section 6.4 above). The deletion of your ZeroDegrees account cannot be reversed and all its data will be completely irrecoverable. This means that we will no longer be able to provide our services to you and if you decide to use ZeroDegrees again in the future, you will need to set up a new account and start afresh. To delete your account, please go to your Account Settings and select Privacy, then click on Delete Account.
You have the right to withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal information at any time by changing your account settings or by contacting our Data Protection Officer specifying which consent you are withdrawing. Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing activities based on such consent before its withdrawal.
You have the right to opt-out from marketing communications which you have previously subscribed to. To change your marketing preferences, go to your Account Settings, select Marketing Preferences, and then click the unsubscribe button for the marketing campaign you wish to unsubscribe from.
Please note that we will continue to use your contact details to send you emails related to a service you have requested (e.g. booking confirmation emails, transactional emails). If you wish to stop all communications from ZeroDegrees (including service messages), you will need to delete your ZeroDegrees account (see section 6.5 above).
You have the right to limit the ways in which we use your personal information, in particular where (i) you contest the accuracy of your personal information, (ii) you oppose the erasure of your personal information, (iii) we no longer need your personal information for processing purposes, but require it for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, or (iv) you have objected to processing pursuant to Section 6.9 (below) which is pending verification of whether your legitimate grounds override our own.
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information (i) for direct marketing purposes (including sharing your data with third parties for marketing purposes) or (ii) for legitimate or public interest purposes. If you object to processing based on legitimate or public interests, we will no longer process your personal information unless we have legitimate grounds for such processing including, but not limited to, the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
You may exercise your right to object to the processing of your personal information by contacting our Data Protection Officer. For opting out of marketing communications, see section 6.7 above.

You have the right to lodge a complaint about our data processing activities. You may file a complaint with our Data Protection Officer by clicking here or with your local supervisory authority.
We design our systems with your security and privacy in mind. While no organization can guarantee perfect security, we are continuously implementing and updating administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss or destruction.
It is equally important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your ZeroDegrees account and to your computers, devices, and applications. We recommend using a unique password for your ZeroDegrees account that is not used for any other online account. If you are using a shared computer, make sure to sign off when you finish.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time in accordance with applicable law. If we do so, we will post the revised Privacy Policy and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. In case of material changes, we will also provide you with notice of the modification by email at least thirty (30) days before the effective date. If you disagree with the revised Privacy Policy, you can delete your Account. If you do not delete your Account before the date the revised Privacy Policy becomes effective, your continued access to or use of the ZeroDegrees Platform will be subject to the revised Privacy Policy.
